Kobo and Lumi are tied together by an elastic rope. They take turns jumping with one finger; if one falls, the other has to yank it back up before both go over the edge. Solo, with an AI partner, local co-op for two and Time Attack.
One button: hold anywhere to charge a jump and let go to leap. Kobo and Lumi take turns, tied by a rope. If one falls it dangles from the edge — jump hard with the other and the yank pulls it back up. Get both to the portal. Also with an AI partner or two players on one device.
Hitch Hop is a one-button platformer about two friends tied together by an elastic rope: Kobo, a small robot, and Lumi, an alien jellyfish. It was meant to be simple to play and to make funny scenes happen, and it does — mostly by people falling off things.
They take turns jumping, always forwards. Hold anywhere on the screen to charge a jump and let go to leap. Charge too little and you fall short; charge too much and the rope yanks your partner off their own ledge. When one of them goes over the edge they dangle from it, and it is the other one's turn: jump hard enough and the yank hauls them back up. Not hard enough, and you both go.
The physics is honest, so it is hard, and you will fall often if you get tangled. Golden hooks swing you up to higher platforms, enemies can be stomped from above, and five biomes — forest, desert, ice, volcano and space — open five levels apart. Solo is one finger for both characters; With AI puts you on Kobo and the computer on Lumi; Co-op is two players on one device; Time Attack gives you ninety seconds, two more for every coin and twenty for every level.
The run is saved as you go — including the moment you clear a level — so locking the phone does not send you back to the start. No account and no ads.
Hitch Hop is ours — code and art, with nothing borrowed and nothing to clear with anybody else. It can be licensed for your portal.
