Dodge the falling geometry. It gets faster the longer you live.
Move to dodge the falling shapes. Survive as long as you can.
Voltfall is a survival game with one verb. Shapes fall from the top of the screen, you move along the bottom, and that is the whole of it — there is no weapon, no meter to manage and nothing to unlock. The only thing that changes is the rate, which climbs continuously for as long as you stay alive.
That climb is the design. Most runs end not because a shape was unfair but because the game reached a speed where the gap you were aiming for closed while you were still moving toward it. You lose to your own reaction time rather than to a difficulty setting, which is why the run before the one that ends it is usually the one you enjoyed most.
It is deliberately short. A run lasts a minute or two, restarting costs one tap, and there is no session to resume — you are not building anything, you are finding out how fast you can still read the screen today. If you want something with progress in it, Oredrift and Wellfall are on this site and both have a save file. This one does not, on purpose.
It plays on anything. The whole game is one HTML file under 80 KB with no downloads, no account and no network requests after the page loads, which means it also runs on a school laptop and a five-year-old phone.
Voltfall is ours — code and art, with nothing borrowed and nothing to clear with anybody else. It can be licensed for your portal.
